Sandra Holloway, P.Eng., BCLS, ALS, CLS – Founder & Alberta Land Surveyor
Sandra Holloway is our Founder and Alberta Land Surveyor. Sandra brings extensive experience in land surveying, geomatics, and engineering across Western Canada. As a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.), British Columbia Land Surveyor (BCLS), Alberta Land Surveyor (ALS), and Canada Lands Surveyor (CLS), she provides clients with technical expertise and a commitment to delivering reliable and practical surveying solutions. Sandra followed in her father's footsteps to become a Professional Engineer. He came to Calgary from Vancouver in the late 70s to work in the oil & gas boom as an Electrical Engineer for Imperial Oil. Growing up, her family spent weekends and holidays in the mountains hiking, canoeing and skiing. This lead to her love of the outdoors that eventually translated into a career of land surveying. When she graduated from the University of Calgary, she worked in Edmonton as an Articled Student plan checking Oil and Gas Surveys. This is where she met her husband. Within two years they had moved to Vancouver where she would survey for another nine years including as a dedicated survey crew chief in West Vancouver, then on to Surrey and downtown Vancouver as a survey technician and eventually a project land surveyor. They eventually returned home to Calgary to be closer to family and the Alberta way of life. Sandra has been working from Calgary ever since, with projects spanning BC and Alberta. Sandra is passionate about helping individuals and teams navigate the survey requirements of their projects. She enjoys getting to know her clients as people, building lasting relationships based on trust and personalized service.
Thomas Holloway, CFA – Business Advisor
Thomas Holloway is our Business Advisor, providing strategic guidance to support the company's growth, financial planning, and long-term business development. Thomas is an Associate Professor of Finance at the Haskayne School of Business at the University of Calgary and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA). With a background in finance, investment management, and higher education, he brings a thoughtful, analytical approach to business decision-making and organizational development. Thomas started out as a mathematician before transferring to Finance. He shares Sandra's passion for the outdoors. As the company grows, Thomas provides ongoing advice on strategic planning, financial management, and business operations, helping Holloway Surveys grow to serve clients and achieve its long-term goals.
Frank Holloway – Survey Technician
Frank Holloway is a Survey Technician. He brings a strong work ethic, practical problem-solving skills, and a hands-on approach to every project. Frank also helps at a custom fencing shop, where he has developed mechanical aptitude and an appreciation for quality craftsmanship. He is known for being dependable, hardworking, and eager to learn. With a strong aptitude for mathematics, an innovative mindset, Frank is a valued member of the team. He enjoys climbing, skiing, camping, dirt biking and fixing up his truck in his spare time.
